Yamaha QB1-10MEL-10-BK Fuel/Water Separator – Supersedes MAR-10MEL-00-BK & MAR-FUELF-LT-12 (Pack of 12)
If you’re replacing a Yamaha fuel/water separating filter, QB1-10MEL-10-00 is the current Yamaha part number that replaces MAR-10MEL-00-00 and MAR-FUELF-IL-TR. It’s the same style filter Yamaha has relied on for years, just updated with a newer part number. This listing includes a pack of 12 filters, making it a solid option for shops, fleets, or stocking up on routine maintenance items.
This filter is designed to trap water and fine debris before fuel ever reaches the engine. It filters fuel down to 10 microns and is rated at 90 gallons per hour, which provides plenty of flow for most Yamaha outboards without creating restriction. That’s especially important with today’s ethanol fuels, which tend to pull moisture into the system and loosen debris from tanks and fuel lines.
You’ll find this filter used on many Yamaha two-stroke and four-stroke outboards. For engines 115 horsepower and under, Yamaha may specify the smaller QB1-M10EL-10-00 filter instead, so it’s always a good idea to confirm the correct application for your motor.
Running a genuine Yamaha fuel filter helps protect injectors, fuel pumps, and internal components from water and contamination they were never meant to handle. It’s a simple service item, but it goes a long way toward preventing fuel-related problems and keeping your engine running clean and reliable out on the water.
