Yamaha Yamalube Stor-Rite Engine Fogging Oil is a general-purpose lubricant that helps to protect metals against rust and corrosion.
Features include: Conditions and protects neoprene, rubber, and other surfaces from environmental effects. Suitable for 2 and 4 stroke engines. Use fogging oil. The stuff dries to a thick, gummy coating that dissolves and burns off easily. But until it burns off, it sticks to everything and does not run. WD40 forms too thin of a coating, as does transmission fluid, etc. Fogging oil is an anticorrosive that will protect the internal surfaces of the carburetor and the cylinders. Typically the engine will run rough just before it runs out of fuel. As that happens, give the carburetor(s) a heavier shot of fogging oil to make sure internal surfaces are fully coated. Fogging oil is an aerosol petroleum treatment for long-term lubrication and corrosion resistance. When properly administered, it forms a thin film on metal components that, unlike oil, remains intact with time. If you have any type of vehicle that sits in storage for months at a time, you should look into using fogging oil if you want to protect the engine. This product offers a way to keep inactive engine components from becoming corroded over time.
Yamaha Yamalube Stor-Rite Engine Fogging Oil for Internal Engine lubricates and protects internal engine components. Vital for proper winterization and during extended storage periods.
