Shipping & Returns

The entire PartsVu team is dedicated to selling the highest quality products and making your shopping experience with us as convenient and hassle-free as possible. However, sometimes returns are necessary, and we try to make that process as easy as possible. 

It is essential to read and understand our return policies. If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team. Additionally, our shipping rates and shipping policies are included below.

PartsVu offers 45 days for returns across most all products that we offer. Please see exceptions here. We do not charge restocking fees.

Please note that once an item on orders status is noted as "in processing" the item can longer be cancelled and will ship within 24 business hours. You can always check your order status here.

HOW TO RETURN YOUR ITEM(S)

  • Returned product must be postmarked or have a recorded ship date within 45 days of receipt of your order.
  • To receive an RA number, submit a request online and include images of the item(s) to be returned.
  • Returned products must have the original box and/or packaging (undamaged) with all tags and applicable manuals.
  • If your order was shipped correctly and you wish to return an item, you are responsible for the return shipping costs on your original order back to us.
  • Once an RA number has been obtained, please ship all returns to the following address, and include your RA number on the shipping label.

REFUND PROCESS

  • Once your return is received and inspected by PartsVu, we will process a refund to your original payment method. Please note that depending on your credit card company or debit card issuing bank, it may take an additional 2-10 business days for the refund to post to your account. Be aware that there may be a delay in processing your refund initially due to unforeseen delays in our warehouse.

DAMAGED GOODS

  • PartsVu must be notified of any damaged part or shipment within 30 days of delivery.
  • If you have received a damaged package, please photograph it before opening it. If you have already opened the package and found damaged merchandise, please photograph the packaging and damaged item, and contact our Customer Service Department.
  • In most cases, you must save the original packaging. Loss or damage in transit is the responsibility of the assigned carrier, but we will be happy to assist with any claims and make sure you receive what you ordered in satisfactory condition.

IS YOUR PRODUCT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN?

To be eligible for return, the item(s) must be in the same condition they were in upon receipt:

  • No signs of wear, installation/attempted installation, or damage
  • In original packaging - note that the packaging must be intact to be eligible for return
  • Complete with all tags and manuals
  • Without exception, electrical parts, electronics, and service manuals are not eligible for return if the manufacturer’s seal has been broken or if the item(s) have been removed from their original packaging.

RETURN POLICIES FOR SPECIAL PRODUCT CATEGORIES

 

Propellers Return Policy

  • Propellers may be returned within the first 45 days after shipment if in new, unused, no installation attempted condition, and in original packaging. 
  • Returned propellers showing any sign of installation, grease residue, water spots, or any other sign of wear will not be accepted for return. Should we receive a returned propeller in the condition described, you will be notified and asked to provide a shipping label to return the propeller to you.

Electronics & Electrical Items Return Policy

Without exception, electronic or electrical items are not eligible for return if:

  • An electronic item(s) that has been removed from its original packaging
  • An electrical item(s) (including lighting, wiring, harnesses, etc.) that has been removed from its original packaging
  • The manufacturer's seal is broken 

Outboard Engines & Trolling Motors Return Policy

  • Engines are not returnable. 
    • All engine sales are final because engines are registered for warranty with the manufacturer.
  • Trolling Motors 
    • Trolling motors are returnable if a return request is submitted within 45 days of delivery 
    • The packaging must be unopened, and the manufacturer’s seal must not be broken to be eligible for return.

PRODUCTS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN

  • Custom/Customized  Items–any items that have been customized or cut, especially for you 
  • Apparel items showing signs of being worn or washed
  • Outboard motors
  • Open box items
  • Clearance items
  • EPIRBs
  • Class B AIS
  • SPOT
  • PLBs
  • Items with expiration dates
  • Gift cards

PRODUCT WARRANTY RETURNS

  • As a seller of original equipment manufacturer-produced parts, PartsVu does not express or imply any warranty beyond the coverages offered by the original equipment manufacturer.
  • If you experience a problem or defect with your item, please contact our Customer Service Department for information about the factory warranty on your item.

YAMAHA, MERCURY, OR SUZUKI PRODUCT WARRANTY CLAIMS

To begin a Yamaha, Mercury, or Suzuki warranty claim, please complete an online request form with the information about your claim. Needed information includes:

  Information to include with the How Can We Help You Field:

  • Your engine’s serial number (PID)
  • The part number for which you are making a warranty claim
  • Description of the issue with the part(s)/product(s) being returned

  Order Number

  • Your PartsVu order number 

If needed, we will issue and provide you with a return authorization (RA) number to be included in your product return shipment. 

Please note that PartsVu does not cover the shipping cost for warranty claims. 

What Happens After PartsVu Receives Your Warranty Claim Shipment?

Once our warehouse has received the part, we will return the item to the appropriate engine manufacturer. A warranty claim will then be opened. This process can take up to 90 days for our vendor(s) to complete their processes and deem a warranty claim accepted or denied. 

If the warranty is accepted, we will order a replacement part and ship it to you after receiving it in our warehouse. Please note that neither Yamaha, Mercury, nor Suzuki will drop ship to a consumer. All orders must ship directly to the applicable dealer (in this case PartsVu), then shipped to you, the customer.

What Can You Do While Waiting for Your Product Warranty Claim to Process?

Warranty claim processes cannot be expedited. If you choose, you can place a new order for a replacement part, and if the warranty claim is accepted, we will issue a refund for the original order amount.

Yamaha Warranty Claim Process:

  • Any new Yamaha outboard part, accessory, instrument, or gauge purchased by a consumer from an authorized Yamaha Outboard dealer for recreational use in the United States will be warranted against defects for one (1) year from the date of purchase.
  • Any new Yamaha outboard part, accessory, instrument, or gauge purchased by a consumer from an authorized Yamaha Outboard dealer and utilized for Commercial or Guide use (including, but not limited to, government use and rental use) in the United States will be warranted against defects in material or workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of purchase.
  • Replacement Yamaha outboard electrical components will be warranted against defects in material for thirty (30) days from the date of purchase.
  • Yamaha apparel will be warranted against defects in material and workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of purchase.

Mercury Warranty Claim Process:

  • Parts and Accessories (All product lines) – 1 Year from date of sale.
  • EPA Compliant Fuel System Products – 2 Years from the date of sale
  • SmartCraft Digital Components (Purchased from Mercury) – 2 Years from date of sale.

Note: Warranty claims for products manufactured by suppliers other than Yamaha or Mercury should be handled directly with the manufacturer. 

SHIPPING POLICIES & PRACTICES

 A shipping confirmation email, including carrier-specific tracking information, will typically be sent within 12 to 24 hours of an item shipping.

INCOMPLETE ORDERS

  • In some cases, products may ship from multiple different warehouses to reach you in the shortest possible time. Please check your shipment tracking information to confirm package tracking if your order appears incomplete.
    • If you are missing an item you purchased from your shipment or an incorrect part was shipped, PartsVu MUST be notified within 45 days of receiving your package. Upon notification and confirmation by our customer service team, we will expedite the shipment of any shorted items as soon as possible.

SHIPPING RATES

Orders of $99 or more (subtotal) qualify for free shipping.

  • Restrictions apply for oversized or overweight orders, or that must be shipped by motor carrier freight. This includes outboard motors, generators, lower units, large oil shipments, large anchors and other bulky items. You will be notified by a PartsVu customer service representative with additional shipping charges once the order has been processed. Charges quoted will be based on actual shipping costs for the weight and dimensions of the order in question to save you money.
  • Orders shipped to HI, AK, PR, and U.S. Territories are not eligible for free shipping and will have some restrictions based on the weight and overall size of the packaging. A PartsVu customer service representative will notify you of additional shipping charges once the order has been processed if additional charges are required. Charges quoted will be based on actual shipping costs for the weight and dimensions of the order in question to save you money.

Standard Shipping or $11.99 Flat Rate Shipping

  • Most orders will ship from our warehouse in Naples, FL. We strive to deliver your order as quickly as possible; therefore, it may be best to drop ship from one of our distributor locations scattered throughout the country.
  • PartsVu may, at its sole discretion, select the best shipping method for your item when standard shipping is selected. This is typically USPS First Class, UPS Ground, or USPS Priority Mail. Delivery for in-stock items generally takes 2 to 5 business days.
  • HI, AK, PR, and U.S. Territories ship for a flat fee of $19.99 due to increased shipping costs.
  • There will be instances where Ground shipping is used for cross-country deliveries which may take 5 to 10 business days.
  • If your item is no longer available or has significantly changed, PartsVu's customer service team will contact you about your purchase.
  • Once a shipment has been processed, you will receive an email update with a tracking number.

SHIPPING POLICIES

International Shipping

  • We are currently not accepting orders requiring international shipment (non-US territories). We apologize for any inconvenience.  
  • We accept orders from U.S. Territories, including Puerto Rico, the USVI, and Guam.

Engines, Oversized and Overweight orders

  • Oversized and heavy packages may be held for additional shipping charges. If this happens, you will be contacted by a PartsVu Customer Service representative. Charges will be quoted based on actual shipping costs for the weight and dimensions of the order to save you money.

Hazardous Materials

  • Hazardous materials must be shipped ground. Hazardous materials are prohibited in international mail and cannot be sent outside the contiguous 48 United States. The most common products include aerosols, anti-freeze, motor oil, paint, paint supplies, oil/lubricants, batteries, poisons, and solvents.

 HI, AK, PR, & U.S. Territories

  • Our free shipping policy does not apply to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the USVI, and any other U.S. territory. Additional shipping charges may be applied for oversized packages and packages considered heavy. A PartsVu Customer Service representative will contact you after placing your order. Charges will be quoted based on actual shipping costs for the weight and dimensions of the order to save you money. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
