When I connect my Rigid LED light directly to my battery, it is at full brightness, but when I use a long cable to install it, the light is dim. What is wrong?

You need to make sure you are using an appropriately sized gauge wire for your installation. This is especially important if using a long wire from the battery to the light installation. If the wire gauge is too small, there will be a significant voltage drop across the wire, preventing the light from powering up fully.

What is the difference between Rigid Industry’s Dually and the D2?

The Dually and D2 are housed in the same cast aluminum housing and have the same shape and profile. The difference is what's inside. The Dually uses our Hybrid Optics System in a 4-LED configuration which comes in either Spot or Flood options. It produces 1,568 lumens at only 15.8 watts and 1.1 amps. To put that in perspective, it uses less power than it takes to use your turn signal. The D2 has 6 LEDs that utilize our Specter Optics System, which comes in either Driving or Wide configurations. It produces 3,096 lumens and uses only 34.5 watts and 2.5 amps. The D2, with its driving beam, produces the perfect combination of distance and width for lighting up the road or water in front of you.

How does Rigid Industry’s lifetime warranty work? 

Your light has a lifetime warranty for internal manufacturing failures only.

For the Radiance light line, your light comes with a 10-year internal warranty.

Customer damages are not covered under warranty, such as collisions rocks, or debris strikes.

Warranty time frames:

• 10-year limited warranty – All Radiance Product Line (Light Bars & Pods)
• 3-year limited warranty – All Truck-Lite Headlights
• 2-year limited warranty – All products with powder coat/finish wear (RIGID uses the highest quality materials available. Depending on the environment, powder coat can fade). Additional 2-year limited warranty products include accessories, covers, mounting options, kits (excluding light, see limited lifetime warranty), and all other items that RIGID offers as part of a closeout or discontinued sale.
• 1 year limited warranty – UWL (Under Water/Wake Flame) Series of lights, Interior Dome Lights, flashlights, flashlight accessories, Reflect housing, Reflect body, Reflect Clamp and ADAPT GPS Module.
• No warranty offered – Reflect Mirror

RIGID, at its sole discretion, will determine the proper handling of all warranty claims. All warranties, expressed or implied, are void if our warranty claim department determines that there is sufficient evidence of one or more of the following:

1. Negligence: Improper installation, improper use, etc.
2. Abuse: Road hazards, Damage beyond the limits of "normal wear and tear."
3. Unauthorized Repair: Repair service performed by an unauthorized service center.
4. Seal Tampering: Removal of bezel or bezel screws will compromise the integrity of the water-tight seal.
