What is SIREN MARINE’s warranty policy?

SIREN MARINE, LLC warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of twenty four (24) months from the date of manufacturing unless otherwise stated in writing by SIREN MARINE. If the warranted products are returned to SIREN MARINE during the period of coverage, SIREN MARINE will, at its option, repair or replace without charge those items it finds defective. Any replacement and/or repaired parts are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty or ninety (90) days, whichever is longer. Such repair or replacement is the sole and exclusive remedy regarding all SIREN MARINE products. The original purchaser must promptly notify SIREN MARINE in writing, during the warranty period, that there is a defect in material or workmanship. There is absolutely no warranty on software, and all software products are sold as a user license under the terms of the separate software license agreement included with the product.

SIREN MARINE is not responsible for products that are lost or damaged during shipment and all shipping and insurance costs. SIREN MARINE advises that all products be adequately insured prior to shipment to SIREN MARINE for warranted service.

Except as specifically stated herein, all express or implied warranties whatsoever, including, without limitation, all statutory warranties, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, or other warranties, are expressly disclaimed. Without limitation of the foregoing, due to limitations of security systems, because SIREN MARINE does not install or connect any security systems, and because security systems may be used in conjunction with products not manufactured by SIREN MARINE, SIREN MARINE cannot guarantee or warrant the performance of the security system and shall not be responsible for circumstances resulting from a security system’s inability to operate. SIREN MARINE hereby expressly disclaims all express or implied warranties whatsoever, including, without limitation, all statutory warranties, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, or other warranties relating to security systems. In no event will SIREN MARINE be liable to any buyer or user for any loss or damage, whether direct or indirect or consequential or incidental, including without limitation, any damages for lost profits, stolen goods, or from claims made by any other party caused by defective products or otherwise relating to the products sold. Notwithstanding the above, SIREN MARINE’s maximum liability, if any, will be strictly limited to the purchase price of any defective product.

To obtain service under this limited warranty, please contact the authorized distributor or dealer from whom the product(s) was purchased for authorization prior to returning the product(s). Upon receiving authorization, please return the product(s) to such authorized distributor or dealer. SIREN MARINE will not accept any shipment whatsoever for which prior authorization has not first been obtained.

The warranty for international customers is the same as for any customer within North America, except that SIREN MARINE shall not be responsible for any customs fees, taxes, or VAT that may be due for any reason. For those jurisdictions where the legal minimum warranty exceeds twelve months, this limited warranty will be automatically extended to meet such legal minimum duration of a limited warranty.

BEWARE: Dealers, distributors, installers and/or others selling SIREN MARINE products are not authorized to modify this limited warranty or make any additional warranties that are binding on SIREN MARINE, LLC, or its affiliates, subsidiaries or related persons, unless otherwise stated in writing.

How do I install the Siren 3 Pro on my boat?

1. Unscrew the wiring cable connector cap on the Siren 3 Pro device to expose the cable connector (this will be labeled Harness 1 on the back of the device).
2. Attach the wiring cable connector and device connector by carefully aligning the 12 Pins and the keyed slot, then screw together firmly.
3. Connect the ground (-) wire (black) on the wiring cable to a battery negative post or common ground.
4. Connect the power (+) wire (red) on the wiring cable to a 12-24V battery positive post or 12-24V power source.
5. Connect wired sensors and relays to remaining wires.
6. Unscrew the wiring cable connector cap on the Siren 3 Pro device to expose the cable connector (this will be labeled Harness 2 on the back of the device).
7. Attach the wiring cable connector and device connector by matching the 12-PINs, then screw together tightly.
8. Connect selected wired sensors using Posi-Tap connectors, terminal block, or other connection type.

The Siren 3 Pro comes with an external cellular antenna and an external wireless sensor antenna. These antennas are required and are not interchangeable. The Siren 3 Pro features an internal GPS antenna that is used for most installations. If the device is being mounted where it is not possible to receive a GPS signal, an external Siren GPS antenna can be used as an alternative. To connect antennas, remove caps on the cellular and wireless connectors and screw antennas on as shown. 

The Siren 3 Pro device is supplied with a mounting bracket and (4) #5 3/4” stainless flat head Phillips mounting screws. We recommend the Siren 3 Pro be installed in a covered area, such as under the helm or in a cabinet and away from metal material that may cause signal interference. The Siren 3 Pro should be installed in a vertical position to obtain optimal GPS signal. If installing the Siren 3 Pro horizontally, we recommend purchasing the external GPS antenna.

The supplied Wiring Cable 1 comes with 5A inline fuse which connects the device to your vessel’s battery and provides all power required by the Siren 3 Pro. Power may be provided directly from the battery posts or any unswitched power circuit that is powered by the battery.

How do I set up my Siren 3 Pro app?

Upon launching the Siren Marine App for the first time, you will be asked to enter the email used to purchase your Siren Marine device or subscription.

Your Unit’s ESN can be found on the back of your Siren Marine device or on the back of the packaging box. If our records do not find an active subscription tied to your ESN, you will be directed to purchase a subscription at sirenmarine.com.

Create your password that will be used when signing into the Siren Marine App.

You will receive a notification that your account has successfully been activated. Click “Let’s Get Started” to enter the app.

The first thing you’ll see when you open the Siren Marine App is the home screen. Here you can see all of your boat’s information in a simple, intuitive dashboard.

The Account Settings section of the Settings Page allows you to change your password or log out of your account.

The Siren Marine Unit Info section shows your unit’s ESN #, the name of your boat, and your preferred time zone. You can also add a new device to your account, add a wireless sensor, or add a SirenSat satellite antenna.

To enable email and text alerts, select Account Owner from the Alert Recipients & Settings

section of the Settings Page. Here you can enter your mobile phone number and enable overall text message alerts (you must also enable text alerts for any systems for which you would like text alerts from the rules page of that system). After selecting the account owner, you can add up to three additional alert recipients.

The Alert Recipients & Settings section allows you to set up an account owner and up to three additional alert recipients. Alert settings can be customized for each alert recipient.

The Siren Marine App is designed to alert you to changing conditions aboard your boat by sending live app notifications. You can also choose to be notified via Text Message or Email by entering your contact information on the Settings Page.

The Events Page lists all alerts from every sensor that is being monitored by your Siren Marine unit. Every alert will display a timestamp and the date the event occurred.
