Big Finish at Lake Seminole by the Bradstreet Boys
Team PartsVu is on a roll. The sibling bass fishing duo of Drew and Kamden Bradstreet tallied a big finish in the Florida Bass Nation regional and state qualifier at Lake Seminole last weekend. Once again, the team showed up, and fished well. They came away with a solid 5th-place finish out of approximately 140 teams on a stingy Lake Seminole in post-cold front conditions.
Weather temps near thirty-five degrees over the weekend made conditions tough on Lake Seminole in Bainbridge, Georgia.
“We watched the weather closely in the weeks leading up to the Seminole tournament.
“We knew things would change rapidly once the cold front hit, so we were ready to adapt and modify according to the conditions,” shared Kamden.
The team benefited from experience on the water to develop a game plan that they believed would suit the conditions. Although they only had three hours to practice the day before the tournament, Drew and Kamden were able to locate a group of fish fairly quickly, which translated into a decent pattern. However, a game-day decision by senior Drew Bradstreet to target bass staging to spawn was the key to the team’s success.
“We knew we were on a decent pattern before takeoff on Sunday. However, experience and gut feelings prompted a change in plans to key on fish moving up to spawn. In the end, it really paid off,” said Drew.
The team weighed 16.5 pounds, enough for another excellent tournament. Their 5th place finish helped them to continue their streak of solid results for the season, propelling them to a top-five standing in the team of the year race.
Lay Lake in Alabama is the next stop for the team, where they hope to continue their momentum. The Bradstreet Team will remain focused and prepared for the tournament as they attempt to stay in contention for a national championship birth.
