Thermal protective performance is combined with high visibility colors to help increase your chance of survival in critical situations. Suits comply with SOLAS regulations and provide excellent thermal protection, and flame retardancy together with a good, ergonomic fit.

Key features include extended zippers for comfort and minimal water ingress, detachable gloves to ease donning, and reinforced anti-slip soles for durability and safety. Optional integrated buoyancy, lifting beckets and packaging types are available.

What is Mustang Survival’s warranty? 

Products with defects in materials or workmanship will be replaced or repaired at the discretion of Mustang Survival for the defined warranty period of the product.

The warranty excludes products damaged due to normal wear and tear, unauthorized modifications, embellishments or alterations, improper use, improper maintenance, accident, misuse, negligence, damage, or if the product is used for a purpose for which it was not designed, or used not in accordance with the product instruction. Unauthorized product modification automatically voids the Mustang Survival warranty. Damage due to wear and tear may be repaired at a reasonable charge.

Mustang Survival will use reasonable discretion to determine the validity of warranty claims. Each situation is different and is up to the discretion of Mustang Survival to determine whether a product has a manufacturing defect or if it is suffering wear and tear. In the case that a product does have a manufacturing defect deemed by Mustang Survival and is repairable, Mustang Survival may choose to not replace but to repair the product free of charge. The decision on whether to repair or replace a product is solely up to the discretion of Mustang Survival. 

The warranty applies to the original purchaser only and proof of purchase is required. Mustang Survival products purchased from unauthorized retailers, online auction sites, or second-hand items are not covered under warranty.

The only obligation or liability of Mustang Survival under this limited warranty is to repair or replace the product and Mustang Survival shall not, under any circumstances be liable for loss of use or any consequential damages sustained by the Customer. All other warranties expressed or implied, and remedies with respect to the condition or use of the product, which might otherwise be provided by law in any jurisdiction, are specifically excluded.

How do I care for my Mustang Survival safety apparel? 

Any of Mustang's foam flotation products (PFDs, floater coats/jackets) can be rinsed and submerged without issue at any time during the cleaning process.

To clean your flotation gear, hand wash or sponge down in warm, soapy water. Rinse with clean water and hang to dry on a plastic coat hanger. Do not dry clean, use chlorine bleach, or apply direct heat. Always store your flotation gear in a warm, dry, well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight.

Hot machine laundering settings can cause the tapes and heat transfers around the garment to become loose or peel off. To clean your dry wear, hand wash or sponge down in warm, soapy water; do not use harsh cleaning agents. Do not dry clean, use chlorine bleach, or apply direct heat as these can cause issues with the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) on the fabric, which is what provides the water repellency.

Rinse with clean water and hang to dry on a plastic coat hanger. Always store your fully-dried product in a warm, dry, well-ventilated place out of direct sunlight.

For cleaning Nomex breathable fabrics, it is recommended to follow Dupont's Technical Guide for Nomex Brand Fabric.

Durable water-repellency (DWR) coatings on waterproof fabrics need to be maintained with use. If water is wetting out the fabric surface rather than beading up, it's time to renew the coating. Several DWR renewal products (such as Nikwax or Gear Aid) are compatible with technical apparel. Rinse your product with salt-free water and keep it free of debris and contaminants to get the most life out of your DWR.

Make sure zipper teeth are clear of debris before and after each use. If a zipper becomes jammed, identify and remove the blockage rather than force through it. Like the rest of the product, store in a dry place out of direct sunlight. Main entry zippers of dry suits and immersion suits should be lubricated regularly following the lubricant product instructions to maintain full waterproofness.
