Overview
This is one of those controls that’s been around because it works. Plain and simple. The trim switch is built right into the handle, so when you need to bump the motor up or down, your hand is already there. No reaching. No thinking about it. You just do it.

It comes with a 20-foot harness already attached and uses the AMP 10-pin connector. On the engines it’s meant for, it plugs straight in. No adapter harness, no extra parts run, no wondering why something won’t talk to something else. These get used a lot on MY2005 and newer small Mercury FourStrokes—8, 9.9, 15, and 20 HP—especially on side console boats and small rigs where mechanical controls still make the most sense.

Important User Notice
This control only works with certain Mercury FourStroke engines and specific control cable generations. Always check the engine model year, serial number, and cable type before installing. Lay everything out and test the movement before tightening it down so you know the throttle and shift travel feels right once you’re done.
