This kit is intended for use with all Yamaha VF90 & VF115 SHO outboard models.

The amount of oil included in this kit is adequate for most of the specifically noted Yamaha outboard models. If your particular outboard requires additional oil, please be sure to purchase this separately.

Our best full synthetic Outboard oil FC-W rated by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). Contains all the benefits of Yamalube 4M, with increased lubricity for lower friction levels resulting in potentially improved fuel economy. Recommended primarily for Yamaha V MAX SHO outboards. Also works well in other Yamaha four stroke outboards (such as the V6 Offshore and F70 models) as well as other brands of marine sterndrive and inboard engines. 5W-30 weight provides excellent lubrication in all climates.

Automotive engine oil will not pass the rigors of the FC-W test. In fact, most automotive engines cruise at 2500 rpm, whereas an outboard can typically operate from 4500 to 6000 rpm all day long. That kind of stress will literally tear automotive engine oils apart. Simply put, an automotive oil is not designed or formulated to provide the protection required by an outboards moisture-rich, high-rpm, high-load environment.
